About Highbury Ballet
My name is Isabelle - or Issy as my students call me - thank you for your interest!
I am an independent ballet teacher in Highbury and my goal is for ballet to be accessible, inclusive and fun for everyone. I teach young dancers to grow their confidence in their physical, artistic and intellectual abilities. I also make sure that through resilience and practice, they can achieve their goals.
Ballet is my passion, so much so that on top of my office job, I trained as a ballet teacher to set up Scali Dance Studio during the pandemic as a virtual ballet school. This passion project has now become Highbury Ballet.
I have been teaching ballet to children and adults for the past five years as a registered teacher with the respected Royal Academy of Dance. I also trained professionally with the Paris Opera Ballet School as a young professional ballerina and as a result, infuse a lot of the famous French method in my teaching.
